FUN LITTER PICK IN RHUDDLAN.
14 Members of The Rhuddlan Environment Group volunteers, 2 MENCAP officer and 7 students all worked together on the recent litter pick in Rhuddlan. The 7 students from Pengwern Hall had always wanted to take part in a litter pick in the community. Jessica Bower MENCAP Officer and Brenda Taylor R.E.G. are currently taking an active part in developing various projects and proposals to provide training for the seven students under Jessica's supervision. The R.E.G. are part of the Keep Wales Tidy initiative and extend thanks and appreciated assistance to Gareth Jones Keep Wales Tidy officer and Drew Tate Denbighshire County Councillor parks and gardens officer for past assistance.
On Thursday the group spent several hours together socially as well as working involving others in a litter pick on an unloved sadly neglected ancient wet land and surrounding areas. Both groups started litter picking at the Rhuddlan foot bridge and cleared along parts of the A525, Station Rd and the Rhuddlan Nature Reserve.
